Thanasis Antetokounmpo
Thanasis on his approach to fitting in with the team:
"“First of all, compete. And gracefully, to just try to understand how the system works. After understanding that, it’s just trying to see where I fit in, trying to see what the coach and what the team wants me to do, and then go out there and do it. Keep working hard, and then hopefully I can contribute in my own way.”"
Thanasis on his and his brothers’ success:
"“It’s crazy. All of this that’s happening, we see it as motivation. We see it as a compass that tells us the way we want to go. I feel that we’re the best example for us, and for our younger brothers, to keep working hard every day. Other than this, most of the time I think things like this happen when you don’t think about them. You work for them, but then when the chance comes you grab them and it happens.”"
Thanasis on what he learned from his previous stint with the Knicks:
"“First of all, just being in the NBA. Back then we had Carmelo Anthony, a huge superstar, and now obviously it’s my brother, but I don’t see him as that, I just see an opportunity to play with a guy who gets better every year. And you know, not much. I didn’t get to play that much, so it’s a new thing for me, a new experience, and I’m still learning.”"
