Kyle Korver

We’ve already seen during the Bucks’ preseason just how explosive of a tandem Antetokounmpo and Kyle Korver could be, as evidenced by the latter’s three-point frenzy in the Bucks’ rout over the Utah Jazz last week.

That only comes with the territory when you add one of the most prolific three-point shooters in league history. Korver’s game-breaking marksmanship just adds a different dimension that the Bucks didn’t have previously to surround Antetokounmpo and it’s easy to envision how the reigning MVP can endlessly set up Korver for high quality three-point looks throughout the coming year.

With that said, simply adding Korver doesn’t automatically generate the chemistry that everyone expects to see and Antetokounmpo said himself that he’s still learning the nuances of Korver’s game as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Ben Steele relayed after that win over the Jazz:

"“What I learned (Wednesday) is whenever I drive the ball, he moves,” Antetokounmpo said. “(That’s) something I didn’t know about him. When you’re in training camp, you’re not always on the same team. You don’t always get to play a lot of minutes with him. “He moves … I’ve got to keep my head up and pass it so he can go get it. Because if I pass it to where he is at the time, it’s going to be a bad pass.”"

Getting that timing and precision down will likely be a season-long evolution and once Antetokounmpo masters his partnership with Korver, it will only make the Bucks’ offense all that more dangerous.
