Robin Lopez

After signing a two-year deal worth nearly $10 million over the offseason, the Bucks are hoping the addition of Robin Lopez can have a similar impact as the one his twin brother, Brook, made over the last year-plus.

Offensively, many Bucks officials and players have spoken at length about how they envision Lopez to fit within the Bucks’ system, and the 31-year-old has taken small steps to opening up his three-point shooting in recent seasons before coming to Milwaukee.

That, however, doesn’t mean Lopez will be an adequate shooter or spacing threat for Antetokounmpo and the Bucks as a whole and we’ll just have to see if he’s able to develop his shooting stroke over the season.

Where Lopez can help Antetokounmpo from the jump is on the defensive end as Lopez can bring the same size, length and physicality needed to protect and shut off the paint to opposing teams in a similar vein to his twin brother, Brook.

We all saw how Antetokounmpo flourished defensively by having Brook by his side near the basket, as evidenced by getting All-Defense First Team honors, as well as being a Defensive Player of the Year candidate. With Robin on board, Antetokounmpo can easily repeat those feats and then some.
