Waiting on the MVP

It’s often been said that as Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo goes, so does his squad and that may explain some of the ups and downs we’ve seen from the reigning MVP and the team as a whole early on in the season.

Antetokounmpo just hasn’t clicked on all cylinders through his first three games so far, even as he’s stuffed the stat sheet and played an integral part in laying the foundation in the Bucks’ comeback win over the Houston Rockets in their regular season debut last week.

After fouling out in that game as well as in overtime in the Bucks’ loss to the Miami Heat in the following tilt, the 24-year-old made progress on that front as he saw out the Bucks’ win over the Cavaliers until all starters were pulled late with the result in hand.

Even so, Antetokounmpo just hasn’t played up to his lofty standards and while he’s talked about trying to grow into the season as the year wears on, we all know that the Greek phenom won’t be satisfied with how the start to his season has gone thus far.

Now, whether he can find answers to some of the questions that has surrounded his performances so far in Boston remains to be seen, but a signature showing will be welcomed by all Bucks fans in any event.
