Brandon McCoy
Like A.J. Hess, Brandon McCoy is making his return to the Herd this G League season as one of their two returning players from last year’s squad.
Upon going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Bucks were quick to bring McCoy on to their Summer League squad ahead of taking in Las Vegas that summer. After a foray with the New Orleans Pelicans during training camp ahead of the 2018-19 season, McCoy returned to the Bucks organization and was one of the rare few Herd players to see out the entire campaign with the team.
With that said, McCoy’s rookie season was anything but a smooth experience as he struggled to adjust to the professional setting as he averaged 7.5 points on a .469/.125/.593 slash line, along with 5.1 rebounds, 1.5 turnovers and 0.6 blocks over 13.9 minutes per game across his 41 appearances.
Needless to say, the one-time five-star recruit coming out of high school will look to ensure that his sophomore season is a more productive experience after his stumbles last year.
