D.J. Hogg

Going back to the many newcomers, D.J. Hogg comes to Oshkosh after the Herd acquired his returning rights in a trade package with the Delaware Blue Coats in early September.

Hogg spent his rookie season with the Blue Coats last year, which is notable as the 23-year-old overlapped with new Herd head coach Chase Buford when he was an assistant under Connor Johnson’s staff before landing in Oshkosh this summer.

The Texas A&M product laid down a solid foundation while with the Philadelphia 76ers’ affiliate as he averaged 10.6 points on .416/.366/.902 shooting splits, 3.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 blocks over his 43 regular season appearances.

Offering up both three-point shooting and some defensive versatility, Hogg could be an interesting developmental piece and clearly Hogg’s wide-ranging services impressed Buford enough for the Herd to bring him into the mix after the latter came to the Bucks organization.
