Jemerrio Jones

Jemerrio Jones comes to the Herd after the Bucks were quick to pick him off the scrap heap after he was waived by the Washington Wizards during training camp last month.

And after signing Jones to an Exhibit 10 deal, the Herd ensured that Jones would suit up for them to start the season by dealing for his G League rights in a trade with the South Bay Lakers, where Jones spent the vast majority of his rookie season last year.

It was there where the 24-year-old showed off his unique game by averaging 9.4 points on a .542/.341/.500 slash line, 9.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.4 steals and a block over his 47 appearances with the Lakers’ affiliate.

And in late March, Jones got the call-up to the big club after inking a multi-year, non-guaranteed deal to finish out the rest of the season with the Lakers. Jones surprisingly got plenty of run with the Lakers as they closed out their disappointing season where he logged a pair of starts and averaged 4.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists across 23.8 minutes per contest.

Jones’ run with the Lakers came to an end over the summer once he was included in the trade package that helped them land All-Star big man Anthony Davis, with Jones heading to D.C. to briefly stay with the Wizards.
