Home sweet home

At long last, the Bucks are back at Fiserv Forum and will be staying long enough for them to be able to feel comfortable unpacking their bags.

This isn’t just about the end of a three-game trip for Milwaukee, as they’ve played seven of their last eight on the road, and a league-high 10 road games so far this season.

Starting with Thursday’s clash with Portland, those tables will begin to turn for Mike Budenholzer’s team. Milwaukee will play six of their next seven in the Cream City, and 12 of their next 15 at Fiserv Forum if you’re to employ an even longer view of things.

In other words, this is a real opportunity for the Bucks to put their foot on the gas, not only cementing their spot at the top of the East, but potentially even pulling away over that stretch.

An 8-2 road record represents great work completed by the Bucks in their first month of the season, but that will be relegated to a footnote if they can’t put together a similarly dominant run on their home floor.

Laying down a marker on Thursday against the Blazers certainly wouldn’t be a bad place to start.
