Giannis has range

Has Giannis Antetokounmpo ever looked more confident shooting from deep than he did on Wednesday night?

It wasn’t necessarily about how many Giannis made against the Pistons, although he did go 4-of-8, but it was how he knocked down his triples that really caught the eye.

Antetokounmpo’s three-point makes against the Pistons were impressively flashy, pointing to an increasing level of self-belief in that shot that should send a shiver down the spines of Milwaukee’s rivals around the league.

Both Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond suffered from Antetokounmpo toying with them off the dribble before backing out and pulling up from the top of the key to effortlessly knock down his shots.

The knock-on effect of that as the game progressed could be seen in how Antetokounmpo later drained an exceptionally deep three-point attempt, the kind of which he would never normally even consider taking.

Now averaging 31.8 percent from deep on the season, Antetokounmpo’s improved proficiency from deep will only continue to open up new avenues for him to attack from.
