70-win pace

The Bucks will officially hit the halfway point of their 2019-20 regular season campaign on Saturday night in Portland.

Heading into their 41st game of the year, the 34-6 Bucks boast the best opening 40-game record in franchise history. With a win against the Blazers, Milwaukee will reach this milestone point of the season on pace for a truly historic feat.

A victory at the Moda Center would officially put the Bucks on pace for 70 wins at the midway point, giving them a very real chance at joining the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls and 2015-16 Golden State Warriors in the history books.

It would be truly incredible if the Bucks could join that particularly elite club over what remains of the season, but even in falling short of that Milwaukee should be in with a great chance of surpassing the current franchise record of 66 wins.

The Bucks’ goals will ultimately be fixed on what they can do in the playoffs, but their dominance to this point in the season shouldn’t go unremarked upon, and achieving history between now and the postseason certainly isn’t something they would turn their noses up at either.
