Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch for at home versus New York Knicks
New York, New York
Another miserable season in New York continues, though some brighter spots have nevertheless shone through during Miller’s reign after being appointed interim head coach.
The Knicks are fresh off of toppling the third-seeded Miami Heat in a 124-121 win Sunday afternoon, which helped them break up a five-game losing skid heading into proceedings. That win brought their record up to 11-29 on the season, which is good for the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference, and Miller is now 7-11 since taking over on December 7.
As Miller continues to try to make the best of a bad situation, the Knicks have been the topic of plenty of trade speculation, whether it’s been debating offloading some of the free agent additions they brought in last summer or exploring their interest in Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond as Ian Begley of SNY has reported on.
While the Knicks continue sorting out their present in the lead up to next month’s trade deadline, their future doesn’t look much brighter as many of the young building blocks in their rebuild such as R.J. Barrett, Kevin Knox and Frank Ntilikina have all struggled to make any headway in their respective developments.
On the injury front, the Knicks already announced Monday afternoon that both Marcus Morris Sr. and Dennis Smith Jr. will be out for Tuesday’s contest due to a sore neck and strained left oblique, respectively.
