Pass happy
On one hand, the early start time did little to help the Bucks’ offensive cohesion as they registered one of their sloppiest performances to date this season.
Milwaukee turned the ball over 23 times and the Bulls made the Bucks pay for their mistakes by scoring 24 points off of their rival’s miscues. The combination of Chicago’s aggressive defending and plenty of inaccurate passes contributed to why that mark ranks as the second-highest for a Bucks game this season.
On the other hand, the Bucks moved the ball and forced the Bulls to rotate endlessly on defensive possessions. That opened up the paint for the Bucks all day long as they went on to have 60 paint points, with the vast majority of those makes coming uncontested at the basket as well. That led to the Bucks converting 24 of their 29 looks within the restricted area, good for 82.8 percent.
With 34 assists on their 45 made field goals, that’s both the second-highest number of assists the Bucks have had and the second-highest assist percentage they’ve had in a game this season.
Of course, the Bucks’ incredible amount of turnovers bogged them down on the day. However, the way with which the ball and the players moved within the flow of the Bucks’ offense was sublime throughout the win.
