B. Mike Budenholzer offered up a rare moment of sentimentality in giving Thanasis his first start. Given the game ended in a loss, I have no doubt there will be some who will criticize that decision, but the truth is it had no real bearing on what actually hurt the Bucks as the game went on. This was just the latest game where a season-best three-point showing from an opponent hurt the Bucks. That will create a whole range of conversations in its own right, but if it wasn’t for the fact that the Bucks’ offense largely stalled after the first quarter, that may have proved immaterial. Budenholzer can’t be accused of failing to adjust to that in this occasion, as the Bucks went small in attempting to power up their offense, and pivoted to switching to try and slow Denver’s offense down. Being without Hill and DiVincenzo certainly seemed like it would hurt the Bucks, and this game won’t dampen any concerns about a lack of guard depth.. Head Coach. Milwaukee Bucks. MIKE BUDENHOLZER
