Dominating the glass

The Bucks have been an absolute force when it comes to rebounding ever since Mike Budenholzer took charge of the team prior to the start of last season.

That means that it could be pretty easy to take for granted just how impressive the Bucks’ work in that department actually is, but an exception has to be made in spotlighting Milwaukee’s relentless pounding of the glass in this one against the Magic.

With the Lopez brothers at the peak of their box-out powers, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton acting as grateful beneficiaries, the Bucks secured a season-high 62 rebounds.

Zooming out even further, only once in Coach Bud’s tenure as coach have the Bucks finished with more rebounds than in this game, but even that came in an overtime clash against the Hawks where they finished with a tally of 71.

On this occasion, Antetokounmpo and Middleton may have caught the eye with 18 and 13 rebounds, respectively, but the fact that six Bucks outside of them finished with at least four rebounds each speaks to the collective effort and focus in this area of their game.
