Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch for in trip to Indiana Pacers
By Adam McGee
Catching up with Malcolm
Wednesday night’s game will give the Bucks another opportunity to catch up with their former Rookie of the Year, Malcolm Brogdon.
After a blistering start to the season with the Pacers, Brogdon’s play has dropped off in recent months, and of late the Pacers’ overall performance levels have plummeted along with it.
Victor Oladipo is back in action, although very much still feeling his way back toward his usual standards following a ruptured quad tendon. From a team perspective, that has coincided with Indiana going on a horrid run, as they’ll carry a six-game losing streak with them to Milwaukee for this one.
For Brogdon’s part, the individual numbers that looked so impressive as he was given the chance to take on a more central role have dropped off, and at 43.8 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from deep, he’s enduring comfortably the worst shooting season of his career to date.
Those who watch Brogdon and the Pacers closely have also speculated about his health, specifically whether he’s playing through a back injury, as his mobility has been notably limited in recent games.
We’ll have to see which version of Brogdon shows up against his former team on Wednesday night.
