Looking at the season series

Through their two games against each other this season, the Bucks and the 76ers have certainly captivated NBA fans around the country and the world and that will certainly be true for Saturday night.

Of course, it was Philadelphia who struck first as they ran through the Bucks back on a Christmas Day and the Bucks got their payback earlier this month back on their home floor.

One of the things that has been consistent in the Bucks’ season series with the 76ers has been Philadelphia’s outlier 3-point shooting as they have connected on 40 combined triples over the two games so far. That registers as the club’s two highest totals for the season and they’ve hit their threes at a 44.9 percent clip when facing off against the Bucks.

Milwaukee has been more than willing to let the 76ers’ non-shooters attempt to do damage from that range of the floor and play a game that certainly doesn’t suit the way they’ve constructed their roster from last offseason.

Philadelphia has certainly searched for ways to open up the floor for their star players Joel Embiid and Simmons, like they did at the trade deadline when they acquired both Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III from the Golden State Warriors. But whether those tertiary players can help solve a problem that’s at the core of the 76ers’ foundation remains to be seen.
