Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch on the road against Washington Wizards
The department of defense?
As was the case when the Bucks first met against the Wizards, Milwaukee will have the benefit of facing up against the league’s worst defense by defensive efficiency.
Since the turn of the new year, however, the Wizards’ defense has been a little more respectable by comparison as they’ve allowed 113.9 points per 100 possessions to their opponents, good for 24th in the NBA.
Whether the Wizards can improve upon delivering some resistance on that side of the ball will be crucial to any playoff hopes they have this season. That’s especially the case when the Wizards have the second-toughest schedule by opponent winning percentage for an Eastern Conference team as NBA.com’s John Schuhmann recently wrote about.
And they haven’t helped matters as they’ve already gotten off on a bad note with losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls following the All-Star break. And Brooks vented his frustrations about the Wizards’ play coming out of the break following their 126-117 loss to the Bulls Sunday evening.
Whether the Wizards can find some answers when going up against a stiff test like the Bucks remains to be seen.
