The Toronto Raptors’ pluckiness was certainly on display and they made the Bucks work all night long with the organized chaos they’ve brought on the defensive end all season. When their relentless defensive pressure worked in tandem with their perimeter offense as we saw for stretches during the second quarter, it would have been easy to confuse their performance from what we saw during last season’s Eastern Conference Finals. But the rug quickly pulled out from under them as the Bucks found their footing late in the first half and quickly extended their comeback coming out of halftime. As the game went along, the Raptors’ offense couldn’t maintain their hot shooting as they went 18-for-52 from downtown and they definitely couldn’t get much of anything going inside the arc where they finished with 22 paint points.
