Milwaukee Bucks: What happens next after suspension of NBA season?
By Adam McGee
What will the Bucks do next?
The Bucks can consider themselves to be somewhat fortunate not to have been in action and involved in the chaos of Wednesday night. The hope will certainly be that all involved in the organization are healthy and unaffected by the virus at present.
The organization released an official statement on Wednesday night via their social media, stating:
"“Like everyone, we were just made aware that the league is suspending its season. This is a fluid situation so we will have more information as soon as possible for our fans who have tickets to upcoming games. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.”"
While the Bucks won’t have games, it remains to be seen what actions the team will take, and it’s entirely possible they will wait to follow further instructions from the league’s leadership.
Those questions will undoubtedly include whether teams continue to practice, but there will also be important questions that need to be answered about the team’s policy for paying lower paid and temporary workers across the organization and at Fiserv Forum, along with how they will go about potentially reimbursing fans for tickets that have already been purchased.
There’s no shortage of uncertainty at present, and it may take some time before it’s all resolved.
