vs. Dallas Mavericks, 12/16/19

Just five days prior to his bounce-back game against the New York Knicks, Korver put on another offensive showcase versus the visiting Dallas Mavericks.

Dallas came into Fiserv Forum without superstar Luka Doncic and stunningly upset the Bucks 120-116 to give them their fourth loss of the season. Despite the loss, Korver would excel offensively, finishing with 17 points, good enough to be the team’s second-leading scorer behind Giannis Antetokounmpo’s monstrous 48 points.

Korver shot an admirable 6-of-8 from the field, a notable 75 percent. It was from three-point range where he found most of his success, hitting a stellar 5-of-7 shots from behind the three-point line in the defeat. It was the guard’s first time scoring double digits in over a month, and unfortunately, the team fell just short of a fourth quarter comeback.

In a game where no other starter aside from Antetokounmpo would score in double figures, Korver’s play was much needed. This was his third game of the season scoring in double digits, his first of more than 14. It was an exciting performance from Korver, who turned back the clock to help propel a near comeback victory in Milwaukee.
