@ Denver Nuggets, 3/9/20

Visiting the Denver Nuggets on the second night of a back to back, the Milwaukee Bucks sent out one of their most intriguing lineups of the season. It was undoubtedly a strange night for the Bucks, who were resting a plethora of players, including four out of five starters.

In what seemed like it would be an inevitable defeat for the Bucks, Korver came in and led the team to a near victory. It was the guard’s third game back on the court after reoccurring back soreness caused him to miss almost a month, and he did not disappoint.

Coming off the bench, Korver scored a game-high 23 points, shooting 8-of-15 from the field and 5-of-11 from three-point range. The 38-year-old filled up the rest of the stat sheet as well, tallying four rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block each.

It was exhilarating to watch Korver lead the team to a near victory versus one of the top teams in the opposing conference and was genuinely his best game of the season. Ultimately losing 109-95, the game was relatively close until late in the final quarter of play, and Korver’s play was a significant factor in that.

Korver has proven all season that he can be a legitimate threat for a contender like the Milwaukee Bucks, and games like this show just how much the Korver signing was a steal.

The status of the NBA is still unknown at this moment, but it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the 38-year-old if and when play resumes.
