Vocals

There was a time a couple of years ago when this role would, without question, have been filled by calling up former Wisconsin Badger “Velvet” Vitto Brown from the Wisconsin Herd to the Bucks’ roster. Long before that, Jerry Stackhouse would have made for a no-brainer pick too.

Without an obvious (that we know of) candidate to grab the microphone now, though, auditions for this spot will require some outside of the box thinking.

What the band needs is someone who isn’t afraid of performing on the biggest stage, who can bring a touch of flair to proceedings when required, and is comfortable with being the voice of the group.

Therefore, Pat Connaughton is the man to front this particular supergroup.

Can Pat sing? Probably not. Who knows? Is it even important?

What we do know is that Connaughton isn’t afraid of the bright lights, as he demonstrated at one of the NBA’s showcase events just last month. Connaughton delivered the goods at the dunk contest, and knew when to play to the crowd. Let’s just hope the critics who review the first album have more integrity than those from that particular event…

Connaughton has also become something akin to a voice of the Bucks this season with all of his post-game videos for the team’s social media from the court.

Connaughton also gets bonus points for his comfort in a frontman-esque leather jacket.

Let’s face it, considering he’s been drafted to both the NBA and MLB, Pat can also probably do anything he sets his mind to.
