With Middleton out of the lineup due to injury, the pressure was also on Bledsoe to step up in the team’s game versus the neighboring Chicago Bulls.

The guard had scored 20 or more points in the previous four games, and the team needed another big game out of him on this occasion. Bledsoe gave them just that, having one of his best games of the season.

Bledsoe stepped up to the challenge as the second option, pouring in an impressive 31 points, second only to Antetokounmpo’s 38. Although Bledsoe shot 0-of-2 from three-point territory, the guard made every other shot he took from the field, and finished with a fantastic 12-of-14 shooting night.

The guard also sunk 7-of-8 free throws, solidifying his fantastic shooting night with just a single miss. When he was not scoring, Bledsoe was making his presence felt elsewhere on the court, stuffing the stat sheet with eight assists, four rebounds, and two steals.

Bledsoe’s eight assists showcased his point guard tendencies, getting others involved while still having a noteworthy game himself. Overall, it was a remarkable night for the Bucks as Bledsoe and Antetokounmpo combined for 69 points with Middleton sitting out, grabbing a 124-115 win on their home court against a divisional rival.
