Milwaukee Bucks: Eric Bledsoe’s top 3 performances of the season so far
By Dalton Sell
vs. Washington Wizards, 1/28/20
Continuing the theme of his previous two big games, with Giannis out of the lineup, the Bucks needed big performances from Middleton and Bledsoe in this matchup with the Wizards, but no one could not have predicted what took place.
The night undoubtedly belonged to Khris Middleton as he poured in a career-high 51 points, playing the best game of his career. This offensive showcase by Middleton largely overshadowed Bledsoe’s noteworthy night in which he scored a season-high 34 points, though.
With his role increased due to Antetokounmpo’s absence, Bledsoe had a much more significant workload, attempting 20 field goals, connecting on 11 of them. Only shooting 2-of-5 from three-point range, the guard did most of his damage elsewhere, including a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw stripe.
When he wasn’t scoring, Bledsoe was getting his teammates involved, recording a double-double with 10 assists. It was the point guard’s third time this season tallying double-digit assists in a game. Accounting for his six rebounds and a single steal as well, the guard had himself another triumphant night.
The Bucks would cruise to a 151-131 victory on their home court with a big night from a pair of stars. Although Middleton’s 51 points stole the limelight from Bledsoe’s game, it was still enough to stand out as his best game of the season.
