vs. LA Clippers, 12/6/19

The notion of a statement win gets thrown around a lot, but that is exactly what the Bucks’ December home blowout against the Clippers was.

Milwaukee had already picked up a win against the Clippers at Staples Center in early November, but without Kawhi Leonard or Paul George taking part in that game, it didn’t quite represent the signature victory it otherwise could have been.

When the Clippers made the trip to Fiserv Forum for the final regular season clash of the year between the teams, there was no need for an asterisk as the visitors were at full strength.

The Bucks met that challenge emphatically, roaring out of the gate and laying down a marker from the opening tip. Milwaukee led by 15 points at the end of the first quarter, having limited the Clippers to just 15 points of their own, and never really looked back from there.

Against one of their main rivals for a championship, Giannis Antetokounmpo led all Bucks in playing time at just 26:21, while Doc Rivers was forced to pull his starters early and wave the white flag.

The Bucks have rarely looked more dominant than this, and this 28-point win is certainly one to remember.
