4. Fri. Nov. 8, Milwaukee Bucks @ Utah Jazz

The last time Milwaukee won in Utah was 2001. That’s 17 consecutive losses in Utah. Unfortunately, that streak pushed to 18 straight on this night, as Milwaukee fell yet again, 103-100.

The way this game began, it looked like the losing streak was sure to continue. Milwaukee struggled mightily out of the gates, scoring only 35 points on 21.7 percent shooting. At the half, Milwaukee trailed 55-35.

Then Giannis and the Bucks showed me what they were made of in the second half. Giannis took control, scoring 21 of the team’s 39 points in the third quarter, four more than they scored in the entire first half, cutting the Utah lead to only 7 points after three quarters.

The Bucks continued scratching, fighting, and clawing their way back into the game, before finally tying the game at 100 with 8 seconds remaining. Then, after a series of turnovers by both teams, the Jazz gained possession with 2 seconds left. The Jazz executed perfectly, and Bojan Bogdanovic drills the game-winning three as seen below.

Despite the loss, the Bucks showed their toughness. Even though they were struggling in a place where they hadn’t won in nearly 20 years, they didn’t give up.

Not so coincidentally in my mind, the Bucks went on an 18-game win-streak after this loss.
