Since a meeting in the 2018 playoffs that went all the way to seven games, the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics turned into a marquee matchup whenever they face off. Boston advanced over Milwaukee in that 2018 series, but the Bucks got their revenge after they eliminated Boston in five games in the Eastern Conferences Semi-finals last year.

However, since their defeat in the 2019 postseason, the Boston Celtics underwent some significant roster changes that could pave the way for future success. With the development of their young stars mixed into the formula, Boston could be a team that gives Milwaukee trouble once again.

The breakout season of third-year forward Jayson Tatum and addition of star-studded point guard Kemba Walker have elevated the Celtics to the third seed in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee and Boston split the season series between the two at a game apiece as the other two scheduled games got postponed with the suspension of the league.

With the All-Star duo of Tatum and Walker mixed in with emerging star Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward, the Boston Celtics have an impressive core of players. This group is still relatively young and has a chance to do some damage to opponents in the Eastern Conference, such as the Milwaukee Bucks as time progresses.
