Milwaukee Bucks: 5 biggest rivals over the next 5 years
By Dalton Sell
3. Toronto Raptors
The Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors had their share of clashes throughout the years, but last year’s Eastern Conference Finals changed everything. The Raptors famously came back from a two-game deficit to beat the Bucks in six games and go onto win the NBA Finals and spoiled Milwaukee’s stellar season.
Although Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard is no longer a member of the Raptors, the team has shockingly retained control over the second spot in the East all season long. With an emerging superstar in Pascal Siakam and one of the most well-rounded teams in the entire league, Toronto has the arsenal to create problems for the Bucks.
Many hoped there would be a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals this year, but with the suspension of the NBA, this possibility is in jeopardy. Regardless, the Toronto Raptors are not going anywhere anytime soon, and in fact, they are only going to get better. With a roster that is still very young led by a first time All-Star, the Raptors will grow stronger.
Given their postseason history over the past few seasons, particularly last year, every matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors has a certain kind of intense feel to it. The stakes appear to be raised with each game played, and will likely continue for years to come.
