Milwaukee Bucks: 5 biggest rivals over the next 5 years
By Dalton Sell
1. Los Angeles Lakers
The Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers faced off two times this season as they split the season series at one game each. Both games were incredible as the top two teams throughout the league faced off and showcased a potential NBA Finals preview.
Just as Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James have led their teams to the top of their respective conferences, the MVP race surrounded these two all season long. This race for MVP made each individual game feel that much more critical and brought out the best of everyone.
If these two teams have created a rivalry that will span over the next five years or so, the best is yet to come. LeBron James might be 34 years old, but by the way he played this season, it is nearly impossible to recognize. James also has a top-five overall teammate in Anthony Davis, who could take home this year’s Defensive Player of the Year Award.
With that tandem playing together for the foreseeable future, the Lakers’ rise back to stardom this season is not going to be a one-hit-wonder. Each game that these two teams face off against one another is going to have an elevated atmosphere around it, with several of the best stars in the world sharing the court.
