February 8 at Orlando Magic

All Bucks fans had been waiting for Lopez to break out of his shooting slump all year long.

It was on February 8 in the Bucks’ 111-95 victory over the Orlando Magic that gave us our best glimpse of Lopez kicking on with hitting shots from beyond the arc.

Who can say whether the proximity of playing near Disney World had an effect on his shooting performance, but Lopez was simply automatic as he canned all five of his triples throughout the game. Lopez’s five threes accounted for a one-third of the Bucks’ 15 total triples and helped fend off the Magic’s second half comeback push before he shot their hopes down.

The 12-year veteran added a couple of baskets down low as well as gave the Bucks an outlet as a roller in pick-and-roll situations to lead the team in scoring that night.

Lopez went on to have 23 points on 9-for-13 shooting (a perfect 5-of-5 from three), six rebounds, one assist and was a +27 over his 31 and a half minutes on the court.

Next. Kyle Korver should return for another season. dark

Whether or not Lopez can add to or even knock off some of his best performances this 2019-20 season remains to be seen, but hopefully that will be the case for he and the Bucks as the hope to continue their dream season.
