3/1/20 @ Charlotte Hornets

Having come off of a 47 point win versus the Oklahoma City Thunder in their previous game, the Milwaukee Bucks looked to keep their momentum going as they visited the Charlotte Hornets. Known as a team to give the Bucks trouble over the years, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee did not take it lightly.

As usual, Charlotte put up a hard-fought battle against the Bucks, but Antetokounmpo put on a stellar performance to ultimately hold them off. Giannis finished the game with 41 points, a game-high. Having shot 17-for-28 from the floor, which included 1-for-4 from behind the arc, Antetokounmpo once again looked virtually unstoppable on offense.

The big man added an astounding 20 rebounds and six assists to his stat sheet and unknowingly made history while doing so. Not only was it Antetokounmpo’s first-ever 40-20-5 game in his career, but he also earned the record for the fewest minutes played in a game with these stats in NBA history at 35.

Behind Antetokounmpo’s historical performance, the Bucks 83-game streak of scoring one hundred or more points shattered, but they secured a 93-85 victory regardless. With another stunning historical performance, and the victory, this win versus the Hornets served as Giannis’ second-best game of the season.
