November 14, 2019 vs. Chicago Bulls
Now into the 2019-20 season, Bledsoe has proven himself capable of stepping up in light of major absences to any of the Bucks’ core players over the last three seasons.
Take November 14, for example, where he combined forces with Antetokounmpo to propel the Bucks to a 124-115 victory over their I-94 rival, the Chicago Bulls, the second win in what ended up being their 18-game win streak earlier this season.
On a night where Milwaukee couldn’t get hit anything from 3-point range, as evidenced by their season-worst 6-of-33 shooting from deep, Bledsoe’s attacking prowess was in great need on that night. He did just that as he regularly dissected the Bulls’ hapless interior defense on his way to compiling 24 paint points and getting to the line with ease to account for the rest of his scoring effort.
All in all, Bledsoe posted 31 points on 12-of-14 shooting from the field (0-for-2 from deep, 7-for-8 from the foul line), eight assists, five turnovers, four rebounds and two steals in 31-and-a-half minutes of burn.
It goes to show that even on the nights when the Bucks aren’t at their best, Bledsoe can lift an otherwise ordinary team performance, especially by the 2019-20 Bucks’ standards.
