Player grades from Milwaukee Bucks’ 126-113 win over Washington Wizards – Starters

C. After breaking out of his shooting funk last time out, George Hill would have liked to deliver more of the same on this occasion. That wasn’t to be as Hill went just 2-of-8 from the field and 1-of-4 overall, but that’s not to say that there wasn’t efficiency in other areas of his game. Hill did a very tidy job of creating for teammates, dishing out six assists to just a single turnover.. Guard. Milwaukee Bucks. GEORGE HILL

D+. A rare start for Kyle Korver, who much like Hill couldn’t follow up a scorching shooting performance from the Raptors loss in this game. Korver went an uncharacteristic 1-of-5 from deep, missing his only field goal attempt outside of that too. Instead, the bulk of Korver’s work came on the glass in this one, where he corralled seven boards.. Wing. Milwaukee Bucks. KYLE KORVER

Milwaukee Bucks. PAT CONNAUGHTON. B+. Considering what he’s dealt with over the past month or so, it’s hard not to be immensely impressed with what Pat Connaughton has produced since joining up with the Bucks in Orlando. Connaughton has been working on his shooting alongside Korver in practice, and it seems like it’s been paying off. Connaughton was 2-of-4 from behind the arc in this one, en route to 10 points overall. With eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal added for good measure, this was a very solid all around performance for a player who can’t be doing his playoff rotation hopes any harm.. Forward

D. Oof. That was likely Moe Wagner’s reaction when he was on the receiving end of a headbutt from Giannis Antetokounmpo, which led to the MVP being ejected in the second quarter. The physicality of the Wizards’ defense clearly got under Giannis’ skin, with their approach laid bare by the fact Giannis had already attempted 12 free throw attempts in just 10 minutes. Still, there can be no excuses for this lapse in judgement from the Bucks’ superstar, particularly this close to the start of the playoffs. A suspension seems inevitable, and precedent would suggest it will only be one game. But if it proves to be any more than that, Giannis’ moment of rage could prove a bigger problem for the Bucks.. Forward. Milwaukee Bucks. GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO

Brook Lopez just keeps trucking along at Walt Disney World. Once again, Lopez was excellent on Tuesday night, with his offensive resurgence showing no signs of slowing down. On this occasion, that translated to 24 points in 23 minutes as Lopez went a perfect 5-of-5 from deep, and 9-of-11 from the field overall. Even against a team like the Wizards, and with multiple key Bucks resting, a win was very welcome for Milwaukee. When Giannis was taken out of the equation early, that left a little more for Brook to do, and he was more than up to that challenge.. Center. Milwaukee Bucks. BROOK LOPEZ. A
