Player grades from Milwaukee Bucks’ 126-113 win over Washington Wizards – Bench

D. The Bucks would really love to see an improved shooting performance from Ersan Ilyasova, but there remains no sign of that right now. Ersan logged 22 minutes in this one, but in spite of getting a long triple to go down early, that proved to be his only make of the game. A 1-of-6 effort with four rebounds was far from the Turkish big man’s best, but then it’s been a while since the Bucks have seen anything close to that anyway.. Forward. Milwaukee Bucks. ERSAN ILYASOVA

C+. Robin’s minutes have been inconsistent lately, and his performance level has seemed to follow suit as a result. This was a solid performance, though, with Robin doing a little of everything that the Bucks look to him for. Chipping in with eight points and four rebounds, Robin made his sole three-point attempt and went 3-of-6 overall, and will hope to be similarly reliable when called upon in the postseason.. Center. Milwaukee Bucks. ROBIN LOPEZ

Forward. Milwaukee Bucks. D.J. WILSON. C+. D.J. Wilson certainly made the most of his minutes in terms of activity, even if they weren’t necessarily always coinciding with the Bucks’ best moments as a team. Wilson has seemed a little bit frantic at times in Orlando, perhaps due to being overly eager to make an impact and prove a point, but that has at least ensured that he hasn’t gone unnoticed. That was again the case in this one as he came up with 11 points and five rebounds on 4-of-6 shooting across his 23 minutes of run.

A-. Sterling Brown found a much-needed positive performance against the Wizards, and did so by demonstrating the kind of shooting touch that once meant he had a more reliable spot in the rotation. Brown has shown a knack of stepping up as a more assertive scorer when the Bucks have been short-handed in the past, and that happened again in this one. With 23 points on 9-of-16 from the field, and 5-of-8 from deep, Brown played his part in the Bucks’ victory. Now, if only he could find a way to make the same kind of relative impact in the much smaller role that’s realistically available to him.. Wing. Milwaukee Bucks. STERLING BROWN

B-. Thanasis Antetokounmpo brought some much needed energy and life to proceedings, as you can always rely on him to do. Thanasis even managed to avenge his little brother by putting Wagner on a poster, and clearly enjoyed every moment of it based on the subsequent celebration and stare down. Beyond that, Thanasis scored efficiently with eight points on 4-of-8 shooting, while also chipping in with four boards and four assists.. Forward. Milwaukee Bucks. THANASIS ANTETOKOUNMPO

A. Excellent work from Frank Mason III, who has been pretty close to faultless when called upon by the Bucks in the bubble. Again, Mason’s presence provided the Bucks with some welcome control in terms of playmaking, with the G League MVP matching Hill’s six assists to one turnover contribution. Mason also did more than his share of work as a scorer, though, coming up with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting, while he also grabbed five rebounds and a couple of steals. Who knows, circumstance could lead the Bucks to call on Mason at some point in the playoffs, and on this evidence, he’ll be ready.. Guard. Milwaukee Bucks. FRANK MASON III

C+. Blue jean Bud gets the job done. It was fitting that Mike Budenholzer looked his most casual on the sidelines for this game as, in many respects, it was as close to a night off as any NBA coach is likely to get. The number of key players he had in street clothes dictated many of his decisions the rest of the way, and if Bud has one regret it may just be that he didn’t get himself a little more forcefully between Giannis and Wagner in order to save his star from himself.. Head Coach. Milwaukee Bucks. MIKE BUDENHOLZER
