Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 126-113 win over Washington Wizards
Takeaways from 126-113 win over Washington Wizards – Brook’s blossoming
Even as the Bucks lost Antetokounmpo earlier than planned, they were still in good hands from the point of his ejection onwards. And it was Brook Lopez who played a prominent role in that regard.
In fact, it was Lopez who immediately sprung into action and took on a leading scoring role for the less than full strength squad.
The veteran center promptly reached double figures with a mini scoring run early in that second period and was automatic from beyond the arc all night as he poured in all five of his tries from that range of the floor. Along with that, Lopez easily got off his spots and shots from the post and inside the arc and showed off his size and strength at the basket.
Lopez went on to have 24 points on 9-for-11 shooting (a perfect 5-of-5 from three), three rebounds, two turnovers and was a +14 in nearly 23 minutes of action.
Even as the Bucks’ time in Orlando has been fraught with ups and downs, Lopez’s breakout has been befitting of the happiest place on earth setting from which it has sprung.
