Milwaukee Bucks: 3 changes that must be made for the playoffs – Turnovers

Turnovers can make or break a game, and can often be the driving factor of key momentum swings. In order to win in the playoffs, the Bucks will need to cut out these mistakes during crunch time when games get tight.

In the bubble, the Bucks have given up an average of 15 turnovers per game. This can make all the difference between winning or losing a close game.

In almost every game in the bubble, Milwaukee has given up more turnovers than the other team. This was definitely the case when the Bucks gave up 23 turnovers against the Rockets.

More turnovers generally equates to communication issues among the players. One potential reason for this could be Eric Bledsoe and Pat Connaughton’s late entrances into the bubble, along from the players’ extended time away from each other in recent months.

By not being in the bubble before the season restarted, Bledsoe and Connaughton were unable to practice with the team for quite as long, potentially reform the communication with each player, and get their rust off in time. Even more generally, their absence forced the Bucks to play different lineups and combinations too.

The Bucks need to improve their communication and regain their collective rhythm in time for the playoffs or they could end up losing some close games.
