Takeaways from Milwaukee Bucks’ 122-110 Game 1 loss to Orlando Magic – Where’s Khris?

Among the many disappointments in what was a dispiriting loss overall, the glaring absence and dismal showing of Bucks All-Star forward Khris Middleton stood out in a prominent way.

In a game that was just asking for Middleton’s snug well-balanced scoring alongside the downhill attacking of Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe, the two-time All-Star Instead floundered to put his imprint on the game with an inefficient scoring performance.

Perhaps more worrying was Middleton’s loose and sloppy ball-handling, which led to him accumulating as many turnovers as assists through 31 minutes of action, all of which has been a prevalent theme regarding Middleton’s performances in the bubble.

All in all, Middleton finished with 14 points on 4-for-12 shooting (2-for-6 from three, 4-for-6 from the foul line), six rebounds, four turnovers as well as four assists, a steal and a block.

Many issues currently stand in the way of the Bucks simply looking like a competent and feared opponent and getting the most well-balanced scorer on their roster back on track would go a long way to addressing some of those problems.
