Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch for in Game 3 vs. Orlando Magic – All eyes on Khris

Khris Middleton would have been hard pressed to start his postseason any worse than he actually has across the first two games of the series with the Orlando Magic.

With just 16 total points on 5-of-20 shooting from the field, and eight turnovers acting as another notable negative, it would seem safe to assume that the only way is up for Middleton from here.

If that’s to be the case, the Bucks need to focus on getting Middleton going, particularly given just how essential he will be to their hopes beyond the current series with the Magic too.

Whether it’s via dribble-handoffs, a steady diet of pick-and-roll play, or setting up looks in some of his favored spots in the mid-range, getting Khris some shots early to build up his confidence is a must.

More than even the misses themselves, what was perhaps most troubling about Middleton’s poor Game 2 was the fact that he only attempted eight field goals.

The Bucks were able to win in spite of such a passive effort from their second star due to strong performances from role players, such as Pat Connaughton. The truth, though, is that those kind of efforts can’t be what’s relied upon.

Instead, the Bucks need their best players to provide a positive baseline for performance, and Middleton must make progress in that regard starting on Saturday.
