Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 121-107 Game 3 win over Orlando Magic – Giannis hits his stride

Giannis Antetokounmpo certainly hasn’t been one of the Bucks that’s been struggling the most in Orlando, but there have been issues with his play all the same.

Antetokounmpo has been racking up offensive fouls, turning the ball over at a high frequency, and not necessarily making shots at his usually absurd level of efficiency. Or at least that had been the case prior to Saturday.

In Game 3, Antetokounmpo compiled one of his best playoff performances to date, and provided a template for the kind of game that the Bucks will need more of from him as the postseason rolls on.

Giannis has had gaudier and more bombastic stat lines than the 35 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists that he finished with on Saturday, but given the circumstances and the attention sent his way by the Magic, this was certainly something special.

Really the most spectacular element of Giannis’ play was just how controled and tidy it all was. There were only two fouls, and only two turnovers, just as there were only two missed field goal attempts. Giannis made threes, he made the bulk of his free throws, and he didn’t bat an eye when he airballed attempts at both.

With 12-of-14 shooting from the field, this was a 31-minute masterclass from the MVP.
