Milwaukee Bucks: Player grades from 121-106 Game 4 win over Orlando Magic – Starters

Guard. Milwaukee Bucks. ERIC BLEDSOE. C-. It’s been a good series for Eric Bledsoe so far, but this was a real struggle. Although Bledsoe was active on the glass and as a playmaker, chipping in with six rebounds, five assists, and only one turnover, the Bucks simply bled points in his minutes on the floor. Somewhat incredibly for a game that the Bucks ultimately won by 15 points, they were a -16 in the 24 minutes when Bledsoe was on the floor. Bledsoe’s 3-of-11 shooting certainly contributed to that, but the Bucks will hope that such a performance doesn’t develop into a trend.

B+. As has been the case for most of this series, almost all of Wesley Matthews’ offensive contributions came from beyond the arc on Monday. Matthews was a perfect 4-of-6 from deep, which included knocking down two big triples to conclude the first half. Again, Matthews’ defense was also absolutely crucial, though, as he continues to make Evan Fournier’s life miserable in this series. So far, Matthews has given the Bucks everything they hoped for when he was signed.. Guard. Milwaukee Bucks. WESLEY MATTHEWS

KHRIS MIDDLETON. B. Khris Middleton left it late, but he came alive with a bang late in the fourth quarter. Entering the final period with just three points to his name, Middleton exploded for an additional 18 points in the final period alone. That burst pushed the Bucks clear of the Magic as the game had very much appeared to be in the balance up until that point. After the game, it came that Khris had been urged by Giannis to simply focusing on shooting at every available opportunity, and not to be deterred by the misses. The results proved to be spectacular for the Bucks, and the hope will be that Middleton can now carry that message forward with him from the start of games.. Forward. Milwaukee Bucks

A+. In spite of the Magic walling him off with a well-coached and highly organized defensive effort, there’s simply been no stopping Giannis Antetokounmpo in recent games. He was once again outstanding on Monday, as even without getting any significant number of calls to fall his way, Giannis poured in 31 points on 14-of-21 shooting. That kind of efficiency has been one of the most startling elements of Giannis’ play over the past two games, and that extended to his playmaking as he posted eight assists to just two turnovers. Add in 15 rebounds, and it was just another day at the office for the soon to be back-to-back MVP.. Forward. Milwaukee Bucks. GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO

C+. Not Brook Lopez’s most dominant game by any measure, but more solid work from one of the Bucks’ most reliable contributors. With 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting, and 2-of-5 on his three-point efforts, Brook played his part in keeping the scoreboard ticking over. Add in three blocks for good measure, and Brook was formidable protecting the rim, which was an area where the Bucks more than doubled the Magic’s paint scoring output on Monday.. Center.
