Milwaukee Bucks: Player grades from 118-115 Game 4 win over Miami Heat – Bench

Milwaukee Bucks. GEORGE HILL. B+. Ol’ reliable, veteran guard George Hill certainly played his part in the Bucks being able to hold off the Heat in Game 4. Hill led the bench charge with his 12 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field and his pair of back-to-back threes right after the loss of Antetokounmpo immediately helped stabilize the Bucks in the aftermath. Even as he logged three turnovers, some of which were obscenely bad, Hill’s caretaking of the ball and hustle to grab five rebounds were invaluable contributions.. Guard

B+. Donte DiVincenzo continued his personal series turnaround Sunday afternoon, a game which he saw the floor for over 26-and-a-half minutes. The Villanova product was incredibly steady on the ball and slashing to the hoop to give some support off of the Bucks’ core stars, eventually finishing 10 points on 4-for-7 shooting. He even rose to the moment getting downhill on the baseline near the end of regulation, that eventually led him to the free throw line to even up the game and force the overtime period. Adding in a brilliant strip steal that led to a strong finish in transition, DiVincenzo is starting to get into gear after his considerable struggles in the bubble and even finished as a +22 in his 26-and-a-half minutes on the floor. And not a moment too soon.. Guard. Milwaukee Bucks. DONTE DIVINCENZO

D+. As valiant of an effort as he’s put in playing as a small ball center this series, Marvin Williams continues to have a tough series. Offensively, the veteran forward was very opportunistic, though he did hit the Bucks’ first three of the day, and eventually finished with five points on 2-of-3 shooting. Yet Williams’ work of covering Heat All-Star big man Bam Adebayo has been a battle that’s gone consistently in Adebayo’s favor. Williams’ declined athleticism and strength has been glaring against one of the most athletic big men in today’s game. The fact that the Bucks were a -12 in Williams’ 17 minutes and 23 seconds on the floor only speaks to those struggles.. Forward. Milwaukee Bucks. MARVIN WILLIAMS

B. Kyle Korver was reduced to a five-minute cameo in Game 4, but the bulk of those minutes came during a glittering run to open the second quarter right before Antetokounmpo’s injury. The seasoned sharpshooter immediately splashed in a three for his only points of the game. He also added a pair of steals and the Bucks were a +10 in his brief minutes.. Wing. Milwaukee Bucks. KYLE KORVER

D. After being excised from the rotation in Game 3, Pat Connaughton returned to the fold, especially after Antetokounmpo was lost for the game due to an ankle injury. Yet Connaughton’s struggles this series continued Sunday as the fifth-year wing struggled to corral the likes of Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson over his 13 minutes on the floor and finished his day with three fouls as a result. While he did come down with four rebounds, with a few of those coming at crucial times, Connaughton finished with a pair of points on 1-for-2 shooting. We’ll see what role he plays moving forward in Game 5.. Wing. Milwaukee Bucks. PAT CONNAUGHTON

Milwaukee Bucks. MIKE BUDENHOLZER. C+. It turns out that it takes for a team to be completely on the ropes for Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer to play a player over 36 minutes in a game. Of course, Budenholzer had no choice but to ride his leading contributors, especially after Antetokounmpo was lost to injury near the start of the season period, and the same went for thrusting the ball into Middleton’s hands with the odds stacked up against the Bucks. Still, Budenholzer pushed on some right buttons down the stretch and in overtime, such as bringing in Matthews to quiet Jimmy Butler and prevent him from wreaking havoc in clutch situations, as he has done in the series. So Milwaukee may not have gotten swept, but it doesn’t get easier for Bud and co. and all eyes will be on Antetokounmpo’s status over the next 36 hours.. Head Coach
