Milwaukee Bucks: 5 shooting guards to target in free agency – Justin Holiday

Justin Holiday may not be the Holiday brother that Milwaukee Bucks’ fans intended on targeting this offseason, but he would be a solid addition nevertheless.

Playing in all 73 regular-season games for the Indiana Pacers in 2019-20, Holiday averaged 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. The guard also proved to be a pesky defender, totaling 1.2 steals per game. The aspect of Holiday’s game that should intrigue the Milwaukee Bucks the most, however, is his fantastic 3-point shooting.

Holiday shot a career-best 40.5 percent from deep for the season on 4.5 attempts per game, providing an essential spark off Indiana’s bench. Although streaky at times, that type of productivity behind the arc is precisely what the Bucks should seek on the market this offseason.

Listed as a shooting guard, the Indiana Pacers played the 6’6″ Holiday at multiple positions this season, ranging from the two-guard to small forward to even the power forward in small-ball situations.  That type of versatility and stellar play on both ends of the floor could make Holiday a pricey target, but one the Milwaukee Bucks should inquire about.

At 31-years-old, the guard fits right in with Milwaukee’s win-now timeline, and there is no doubt he could provide a considerable contribution off their bench.
