Milwaukee Bucks: 3 goals for Donte DiVincenzo next season – Enhance playmaking

Donte DiVincenzo frequently saw himself as the Milwaukee Bucks’ primary ballhandler throughout the season. Serving as a secondary playmaker off the bench or often in the starting lineup, the guard showed potential in that aspect of his game, but also some abysmal performances.

DiVincenzo had a substandard outing in the Milwaukee Bucks’ eight seeding games to kick off the restart, where playmaking was just one of the many lingering issues for him. In that stretch, Donte looked poor as he totaled five turnovers on three separate occasions after crossing that mark just once in the previous 55 games. The guard was making erratic passes and questionable decisions with the ball in his hands, leading to an excessive amount of turnovers.

All in all, Donte did make strides with his playmaking in his first two seasons, going from 1.1 assists per game last year to 2.3 in 2019-20. Heading into year three, the Milwaukee Bucks will undoubtedly want DiVincenzo to take another leap as a playmaker as he will certainly get more touches next season.
