Milwaukee Bucks: 3 reasons why Bogdan Bogdanovic is an ideal fit – Fits win-now timeline
If Bogdan Bogdanovic is indeed unhappy in Sacramento because of their lack of success, coming to a team with the best regular-season record in consecutive seasons could be enticing. The Milwaukee Bucks are entering a championship or bust season in 2020-21 with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future up in the air, and they need to make some roster improvements.
While the guard is not as highly-decorated as Chris Paul or Jrue Holiday, a place like Milwaukee would welcome his services with open arms nevertheless. The Bucks are targeting more playmaking and shooting before their next title run, and it’s clear that Bogdanovic checks off both boxes.
The Bucks need a player that will help them contend for a championship the second he comes into town, and Bogdanovic does just that. He does not necessarily push them over the edge in their quest for a title, but he undoubtedly helps.
Playing alongside two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and two-time All-Star Khris Middleton would be a change for Bogdanovic, but it could bring out the best in him. At 28 years old, Bogdanovic is still fairly young and could without question turn a new leaf in Milwaukee playing in Mike Budenholzer’s system.
Whether the Milwaukee Bucks can pull off the difficulty of a sign-and-trade deal for Bogdan Bogdanovic or not, there is no doubt that he would be a fantastic addition. Time will tell if the Bucks’ interest will lead to him wearing a Bucks uniform.
