Milwaukee Bucks Mock Draft Roundup: Who does Babcock Hoops have the Bucks taking?

Finally, with the 24th overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft, Matt Babcock of Babcock Hoops has the Bucks selecting Duke wing Cassius Stanley.

Stanley has largely been absent of any first round projections throughout this elongated pre-draft process. For whatever reason that may be, that should stand as a total indictment for some of the skills and traits the former Blue Devil brings to the table.

For starters, Stanley might be one of the best athletes in this class and has high-flying athleticism, thanks to his 46.5″ inch vertical leap that stands as a Duke record. Along with that, Stanley does have a nascent shooting ability that, when combined with his athleticism and size, could make him an enticing 3-and-D project deep in the draft.

On the other hand, Stanley’s limitations, whether it’s his lack of shot creation abilities or physical tools (6’7″ wingspan), makes his potential NBA role incredibly defined and/or limited, however way you want to look at it. Can Stanley rise above those deficiencies and experience success in the areas he’ll have to take on at the next level? Time will tell on that front.
