Quotes:

Derek Murray of Babcock Hoops is very high on Flynn’s status as an NBA point guard and shed light on Flynn’s mentality, which very well could be the key to negating his physical and athletic concerns:

"“While the NBA Draft is largely about filling your locker room with size and talent, sometimes there are players that fill a role regardless of their physical stature. Winning cultures are built on players that are willing to work, which has been evident in this year’s Miami Heat squad. Malachi Flynn is the type of competitor you want in your organization.”"

Woo shares a similar admiration for Flynn’s game after ranking him 27th on his most recent Big Board and also mentions his mindset and toughness as a key reason for him possibly breaking through immediately at the NBA level:

"“Flynn has been one of the winners of the virtual combine process so far and has left strong impressions on teams in his interviews, according to league sources. His range now appears to begin in the early 20s, as one of the few players in this draft with a believable chance of stepping in to help a good team right away. Flynn’s toughness and immense basketball IQ help mask his average athletic tools, and there’s no glaring hole in his game.”"
