Milwaukee Bucks: 3 threats to sign Kyle Korver in free agency – Philadelphia 76ers

Last offseason, it appeared that the final two teams Kyle Korver narrowed down his choices to were the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks. Korver clearly went with the latter, a persuasive phone call from Giannis Antetokounmpo sealing the deal. With Philadelphia once again in need of a floor spacer this offseason, they will likely revamp their pursuit of the 39-year-old.

Korver’s fit in Philadelphia would be similar to how it worked in Milwaukee. The Bucks needed to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo with 3-point shooters to open up the floor, and Korver certainly fit the bill. That is also the blueprint with the 76ers, except they have a towering trio of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Al Horford, rather than just one man.

The lack of spacing between the three derailed any hopes of success that Philadelphia had previously dreamed of, and they will unquestionably look to bring in some shooters this offseason. Korver would be cheap, and if he considered joining them last offseason to go back to the place where he kicked off his NBA career, he very well could reignite that interest.

In the hunt for some shooting with their hands tied financially, the Philadelphia 76ers inquiring about Kyle Korver once again is a no brainer. Given the 39-year-old’s past connections with that franchise, they could be a genuine threat to sign him.
