5 wings for Milwaukee Bucks to target at 24th overall pick – Robert Woodward II

For our final target, we look at the services of Mississippi State wing Robert Woodard II.

Woodard’s more of a late bloomer compared to the previously mentioned prospects and as such, his body of work and/or experience isn’t as strong as others. With that, though, optimism rises in the 21-year-old starting to scratch the surface in realizing his role player potential.

Oozing with electric athleticism and the potential to be a versatile, defensive disruptor, there is certainly a lot to like about how Woodard can find his way on the defensive side of the ball.

The Mississippi native’s offensive game, however, is less defined or idealized, with the most significant question revolving around perimeter shooting prowess after just attempting 114 threes over his two years in Starkville. Yes, hitting 42.9 percent of his threes as a sophomore is nice to see, but it’d be more reassuring to see a bigger sample size before deciding how qualified of a shooter and floor spacer Woodard is.

Woodard recently talked to HoopsHype’s Bryan Kalbrosky and made a mention that his range “likely anywhere from 25 to the 35 and 40 range.” Whether he will end up falling within range remains to be seen and so does whether the Bucks will have some interest in Woodard.

To learn more about Woodard, you can do just that right here.
