Milwaukee Bucks 2020 NBA Draft: 5 forwards to target with 24th overall pick
5 forwards for Milwaukee Bucks to target with 24th overall pick – Aleksej Pokusevski
By far this year’s mystery man in every sense of the word, there’s no limit to what Aleksej Pokusevski can pan out to be in the NBA and his career overall.
The youngest prospect in this year’s class at 18 years old, Pokusevski’s game, as it currently stands, is as enticing as it is mystifying in some ways. Not only is the Serbian’s game as raw as they come, the same very much applies to his physical development and overall frame as he stands seven-feet and a little over 200 lbs.
For as many questions that exist around Pokusevski’s physical maturity and experience, which has been primarily limited to the Greek second division, the flashes of brilliance he has shown has made him the ultimate gamble in this draft for a variety of reasons.
The size, shooting abilities and defensive potential that Pokusevski possesses, even at this developing stage, is a solid enough base that makes him worthy of where he’s currently being projected. While a long runway will be needed to embrace the skill and physical development he needs to make it in the NBA, the price if it pays off could resemble something like the Bucks experienced when selecting a raw teenager from Greece more than seven years ago.
