Milwaukee Bucks: 5 free agents to target with bi-annual exception – E’Twaun Moore
Ah, a rumored free agent target of Bucks past. The Bucks reportedly had interest in E’Twaun Moore during the free agency frenzy that was the summer of 2016 before he ultimately signed a four-year. $34 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Now Moore is entering back into free agency waters after having wrapped up his deal and potentially his time in the Crescent City, especially after taking a backseat to the Pelicans’ promising rotation wings last season.
Moore didn’t help matters by turning one of his worst seasons by true shooting percentage standards (51 percent), despite averaging 8.3 points per game and hitting 37.7 percent of his threes. That latter mark comes well under his 39 career 3-point percentage.
Despite enduring through such a dip, Moore still rated highly as a spot up shooter where he ranked in the 89th percentile on such opportunities and hit 41.2 percent of his catch-and-shoot threes.
Whether the poor timing of Moore’s mixed season as well as the fact that he’s on the older side at 31 years old will lead to a diminished market and average annual salary for him remains to be seen. And time will tell whether the Bucks’ previous interest will reignite once again, especially since the price for Moore is considerably lower this time around.
